Don't worry. It ain't a big deal. I can hear the monitors. Plus, the critical period for me is the going to sleep and the wake up part. In some states, anesthesiologists are even allowed to leave the room during the surgery. Now THAT is scary!
I think it's great! It makes surgery seem not so scary. YOu always imagine everyone so serious and stoic...hardly, huh?!
